Connecting GSC gives real data about traffic and rankings instead of estimates.
What it is for
Without Search Console we only see what can be measured from outside. Once connected, the panel shows real data: which articles attract visits, for which keywords and how the rankings change.
Authorisation goes through the standard Google mechanism and you can revoke it in your Google account settings at any time.
